Weigh-in.

I weighted in 104 kg this week. That’s a 3,2 kg more in 6 weeks. And it’s ‘only’ 104 kg because I ate healthy the week I was on vacation.

At the end of the summer I had the goal to weight under the hundred by my birthday. I missed it by a nose. But after my birthday I missed a challenge. I got myself in a downward spiral and gave up on my good intentions for the seventieth time this year.

But the vacation was great and gave me courage to go at it again. For the 71st time.

I now have a subscription to the local pool and already went swimming three times in the last four days. The pool was closed on Wednesday due to Veterans Day.

*grin*

I’m on a roll. Hopefully on a long lasting upwards spiral.

Swimming.

The holiday by the shore was perfect. The weather wasn’t great but good company made up for that. We went for long walks through beautiful scenery and fun nights with a lot of laughing. This was my first real holiday in 9 years and it was great.



This morning I got up early and went for a swim. I’ve been putting it of for a long time, but finally I was able to drag myself out of bed way too early to bike to the pool for a swim. The cool water woke me up and I have to amid it: it was great. I love swimming. I already went back after work and soon I’ll have my subscription to the pool. Yay!

Closed for holidays


It will be quiet around here a bit longer. I'm leaving on vacation in a couple of days and I will be back to blogger-land in two weeks.

We're going for a camping holiday to a place near the Belgian coast (the pic above is where we're going). I love camping and I can't wait to leave, I don't mind that it probably will be cold and rainy. I'll be outside, in good-smelling healthy air. As long I'm away from my daily overdose of computers and too much food, I'm happy. I plan to do long walks, a lot of reading and just relax.

The first thing I'll do when I'm back in town, besides getting back to work (ha), is to take out a subscription to the local pool. Maybe I'll try to squeeze in some swimming this week already. My goal is to go for a morning swim before work 4 days a week. I will need to get up earlier but I need the daily exercise bad. Since it's gotten too cold and rainy outside to walk and bike I turned into a moody gloomy fat out of condition couch potato. It's time for some action.

*sigh*



I haven't been around a lot these last weeks because I have a hard time getting back on track. These last days I've been lazying around & eating a lot. My weight is around 105 now, and I'm not really caring. I feel bad, but not bad enough to stop my bad behaviour. I just can't motivate myself.
